- a quick explanation of all ranks

- Alpha; the head male/female of the pack, makes decisions for their pack, leads the pack, etc.

- Second In-Command; the alpha's right-hand man/woman, leads the pack when alpha is unfit, is often consulted by the alpha on important decisions.

- Medicine Wolf; the healer of the pack, treats all wounds, illnesses, etc. interprets signs and prophecies for the pack.

- Hunter; pack members with the specific job of hunting for their pack.

- Pack Member; regular members of the pack, no special rank.

- Trainer; any pup at least five months old training to become a pack member or hunter.

- Mother; any female wolf baring pups/taking care of pups until they are five months old and able to become trainers.

- Pup; any member of the pack until five months of age.

- Elder; any member of the pack unfit/too old to hunt or participate in pack member activities/hunts
